Why SkapaCraft exists
Most of the software we all install every day is built to impress on a feature list, not to respect the person running it. Plugins that bundle a full UI framework for a button. Apps that phone home before you've even opened the settings screen. Dashboards you need a manual to understand.
SkapaCraft started as a reaction to that: what if the default was the opposite? Zero bloat instead of maximum features. Telemetry that's opt-in and off by default instead of "we value your privacy" fine print. Code you can actually read instead of a black box you're told to trust.
How things get built here
Every tool that carries the SkapaCraft name follows the same constraints, regardless of platform - WordPress today, native apps for Garmin and beyond tomorrow:
Performance first, not last. Speed isn't an optimization pass at the end - it's a constraint from the first line of code.
Nothing hidden. No dark patterns, no telemetry you didn't ask for, no data collected because it might be useful someday.
100% open source. Every tool's source is public. You don't have to trust the claims on this page - you can read the code that backs them.
One person, fully accountable. There's no committee deciding to add a feature nobody asked for. Every decision has a name attached to it.

What's next
WordPress plugins are where SkapaCraft started, but not where it stops. The same standard is now being applied to native apps for the platforms actually used every day - starting with Garmin Connect IQ. Same constraints, same accountability, just a different runtime.
