Privacy Policy - Ultra-Trail Dashboard

The short version
Ultra-Trail Dashboard runs entirely on your Garmin device. It doesn't transmit anything to any server, doesn't require an internet connection, and doesn't collect any personal, location, or health data beyond the normal operation of the Garmin Connect ecosystem you've already chosen to use.
What data the app reads
While a running/trail running activity is in progress, Ultra-Trail Dashboard reads the following data from your Garmin device, made available by the system through Garmin's standard Connect IQ API (Activity.Info):
- Current speed/pace
- Current heart rate
- Altitude and distance travelled
- Device system settings (unit preferences, screen shape, color theme)
What the app does with this data
All calculations (smoothed grade, GAP) happen entirely on-device, in real time, purely to be displayed on screen during the activity.
The only value the app produces (GAP) is written into the activity's .FIT file - the same file Garmin Connect already generates for any workout. From there it follows the same sync path you've already configured with Garmin Connect (and, if linked, Strava or any other third-party service of your own choosing).
What the app does NOT do
- It does not transmit any data to external servers, ours or third-party.
- It does not collect, store, or share any personal, location, or health information beyond the normal operation of the Garmin device and the Garmin Connect ecosystem you've already chosen to use.
- It does not use any third-party analytics, advertising tracking, or telemetry services.
- It requires no account, login, or internet connection to function.
User settings
The only user-configurable setting (grade smoothing window duration) is stored locally on the device via Connect IQ's standard "Properties" mechanism, and never leaves the device.
